The Special Character of the School:

Some of the main features of the School’s Special Character include:

  • it is a Catholic school
  • it remains influenced by the ideals of our founding Orders the Marist Brothers and the Sisters of Mercy
  • it is co-educational
  • it was established by the Catholic community for the Catholic community of the Grey District
  • it actively builds a sense of community with the students, staff and parents/caregivers, the Grey District parishes and St Patrick’s School in Greymouth, the wider Catholic community and the Diocese of Christchurch, New Zealand.
  • its Proprietor is the Roman Catholic Bishop of Christchurch, New Zealand.
